About the Role:
We are looking for a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor or a Graduate Surveyor who can become licensed. The role will be responsible for all aspects of land surveying with a strong focus on subdivisions:
- Designing subdivisions that meet Local and Regional Authority rules
- Preparing resource consent applications
- Engineering design in accordance with relevant standards and rules
- Leadership in the management of civil contracts, and in the monitoring of civil construction projects
- Completion certification to Council
- Preparing Land Transfer plans for titles
- Liaising with clients, contractors, solicitors, consultants and councils
- Supervision of field work and outputs
- Undertaking feasibility assessments and pricing
About You
You will have strong experience in land development, cadastral surveying, engineering design and subdivision project management. You will demonstrate the ability to keep pace with a busy office. You complete your work efficiently and strive to meet project deliverables. You think innovatively and regularly go the extra mile.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor of Surveying Degree
- New Zealand Licensed Cadastral Surveyor status (or ability to acquire it)
- 3+ years post licensing experience in a consultancy environment
- Familiarity with land development processes
- Engineering design and supervision experience desirable
- Proficient with 12d, AutoCAD Civil 3D, e-surveys and dataset lodgement with LINZ
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- High risk awareness and attention to detail

About the Role:
We are looking for a Survey Technician who can hit the ground running.
This role will have a focus on field work including: topographical, cadastral, height to boundary, construction set out, as builts and building set outs. Office work will include calculations, survey processing and plan production. The role will also be responsible for equipment management and maintenance.
The role will have a significant autonomous component albeit under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor.
About You
You will demonstrate the ability to keep pace with a busy office. You complete your work efficiently and strive to meet project deliverables. You know where the risks lie and have targeted attention to detail. You think innovatively and regularly go the extra mile.
Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years NZ experience with fieldwork, data collection, data processing and survey plan generation.
- NZ Certificate in Surveying, or NZ Diploma in Surveying.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, 12d, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Landonline, and fieldwork techniques for GPS and Total Station equipment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Current, clean, full NZ Driver’s license and experience driving 4wd utility vehicles.
- Familiar with Trimble equipment and drone experience.
